Out and About|Palm Vaults

On my birthday, my sister and I had brunch at Palm Vaults. The café is decorated in a very urban way. You can tell even before entering the café, that you aren’t entering your normal cafés like Costa or Starbucks. You will be surrounded with pastel decor and plants hanging beautifully from the ceiling. Oh and if you are a vegan, you will be spoiled for choice!

To begin, I had a Lavender Latte and toast with tomato, basil and pesto. My sister had a mushroom toastie.

My plate looked colourful as you can see below, but to be honest it was average. However, the toastie my sister had was not too bad – I did spread a bit of my pesto on the toastie first, though. Unfortunately, the Lavender Latte did not impress me either.

As soon as we walked in, my sister and I were keen on trying out their cakes and that’s what we did after having the main meal. We tried three different cakes: rhubarb and coconut cake, chocolate cake and some sort of a marzipan cake. My favourite was the rhubarb and coconut cake. Oh it was so moist and tasty! I just loved it. My sister’s favourite was the marzipan cake. We both weren’t so delighted to eat the chocolate cake. It was way too rich for our liking.

I have to admit… I was overall quite disappointed with the main food they served. However, these are the reasons why you should definitely go to Palm Vaults at least once if you are in London:

  • The café is out of this world – Well, not your usual British café anyway
  • It’s affordable – In fact probably cheaper than most places
  • The cakes are amazing – TRY the rhubarb cake!!!
  • and finally, if you love posting a lot on social media, I can confirm that this place is definitely worth taking pictures of!
